Fastener Standards and Finishes

Fastener selection must keep the product standard, dimensions, thread, property class or material grade and surface finish aligned. This page provides an RFQ checklist for SUNHY fasteners; the applicable specification and available finish are confirmed for each part before quotation.

Standards and product definition

SUNHY’s published fastener range includes products identified to DIN, ISO and ASME dimensional standards. A standard number does not by itself define every purchase requirement. State the product type, size, thread pitch, length, property class or material grade and any dimensional exceptions.

Finish selection

• Plain or oiled condition where appropriate for the specified material
• Zinc, black oxide or zinc-flake systems when available for the selected part
• Passivation or other specified treatment for applicable stainless steel parts
• Drawing-defined coating thickness, colour, test method and packaging when required

Finish availability and performance depend on the base material, geometry, thread fit and service conditions. State the required coating specification and acceptance test rather than relying on a colour name alone.

• Diameter, pitch, length and tolerance
• Property class or material grade
• Surface finish and coating specification
• Quantity, lot traceability and inspection documents
